Music Ministries
Music is an integral part of worship at Hickory Grove. The choir, a contemporary ensemble, the children's singing group and instrumentalists all combine to lead us in worship through music. The Hickory Grove UMC Choir practices on Wednesday nights from 7:00 to 8:30 and is led by Carol Hartis, Director of Music Ministries.
Our choir sings a wide variety of music, from contemporary to gospel to praise music to traditional anthems. We sing a capella, with keyboard, piano or organ accompaniment, or with taped instrumental accompaniment.
Our Handbell Choir practices on Sundays from 12:00 to 1:00. We have fun and learn beautiful music to perform in worship.
The new Children's Choir rehearses every other Sunday from 12:00-12:30. They perform in worship, learn music and movement, and prepare for their annual Christmas pageant. Children ages 4 through 3rd grade are invited to join their own choir!
We sing and play music to praise God and inspire our community of faith. Come join us!
